The Arc of Acadiana and Lafayette Auto Dealer Association Announce Bead Drive

(Lafayette, La.) —The Arc of Acadiana, along with the Lafayette Auto Dealer Association (LADA), is pleased to announce this year’s Mardi Gras Bead Drive to help the developmentally and intellectually disabled in the community. The campaign will kick off February 6 and continue through March 20.

Marked boxes for bead drop-off will be available at all LADA dealerships during the drive, where teams of clients from the Arc of Acadiana will take care of collecting them. “The Lafayette Auto Dealers Association is proud to partner with Arc of Acadiana for this campaign. As local business owners, we are committed to serving our community, and this drive is a great opportunity for us to give back,” said LADA President Paul Stroderd.

The beads will be collected, detangled, recycled and resold, all of which provide employment opportunities for Arc’s clients. The Arc of Acadiana and LADA encourage everyone to donate their leftover Mardi Gras beads by dropping them off at any of the following LADA dealerships:
