The Arc of Acadiana to Hold Annual Membership Banquet – Keynote Speaker is National Down Syndrome Congress President Jim Faber

(Lafayette, La.) — The Arc of Acadiana, a nonprofit organization committed to the promotion and protection of the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will hold its Annual Membership Banquet on Thursday, May 23. National Down Syndrome Congress President Jim Faber will speak to the group about the limitless possibilities of people with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities.

The Arc of Acadiana’s Annual Membership Banquet is a formal luncheon bringing together Arc members, employees and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who make up the organization. The banquet is Thursday, May 23 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Hampton Inn & Suites located at 400 Spanish Town Boulevard in New Iberia. In addition to hosting keynote speaker Mr. Jim Faber, the banquet serves as a chance to discuss Arc of Acadiana’s plan throughout the six-parish territory for this coming year in terms of facility improvements and new programs and options for clients.

“We are excited to have Mr. Jim Faber as our keynote speaker,” says Arc of Acadiana Chief Executive Officer Kenny Patton. “He’s an inspirational advocate for people with developmental disabilities, and we believe our membership will appreciate his unique insight.”
