At Arc of Acadiana, we think of our volunteers as partners. Can I volunteer with Arc of Acadiana as an individual?

Our volunteer experiences are centered around hands-on learning experiences for our clients. Often, this is best accomplished through groups of 3 or more. However, if you have an educational or entertaining opportunity as an individual, we welcome you to contact our team and explore our options.

How long do volunteer experiences last?

Depending on what is taught, a volunteer session typically lasts around an hour. While some volunteers only join us for one session, many return time and again to continue providing valuable life skills for our clients. We greatly appreciate and look forward to forming lifetime partnerships with our volunteers.

Are there virtual/remote volunteer opportunities?

We’ve found that our clients get the most out of their time with our volunteers through in-person demonstrations and experiences. However, if you would prefer to give a presentation remotely, please reach out to our team to discuss the opportunities available to you.
