Disability Services For Adults with Physical & Developmental Disabilities

We offer services designed to connect people with developmental disabilities to opportunities for community building, education, job training and increased independence. A team of passionate care providers manage each program and work with participants one-on-one and in group settings to help them gain new skills and confidence to chase their goals.

Community Group Homes

Arc of Acadiana operates 11 community group homes designed to support individuals in learning the joys and responsibilities of independent living. Our participants and their families benefit from the guidance of experienced, compassionate staff who understand the unique challenges faced by adults with developmental disabilities.

In-Home Care

We believe that support services should be accessible and delivered with ease and comfort. Through Arc of Acadiana’s waiver services, adults with disabilities and older adults can receive personalized care and assistance in the comfort of their own homes.

 

Day Program

We are dedicated to fostering growth opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our day programs offer a variety of creative and recreational activities that promote socialization and independence for adults with disabilities.

What type of programs and activities are available at Arc of Acadiana?

Arc of Acadiana provides care for individuals ranging from 18 years of age to 100. The programs available are built to achieve our mission of securing for all people with disabilities the opportunity to develop, participate, and live life to their fullest potential.

What is an adult day program?

An adult day program provides a caring environment that enhances the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through community integration, enrichment programs and a variety of social activities.

What is a typical day at the day program?

The day program offers a full day of interactions and activities, Monday – Friday, from 9:00am – 3:00pm.  Our program maximizes physical and cognitive abilities; as well as social opportunities for all individuals.
