Director of Nursing (RN)

Locations (Louisiana): Bossier City

RN will be responsible for directing the nursing department of Arc of Acadiana Northwest in Bossier City. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing management of nursing activities in an assigned multi-service area on a twenty-four hour basis
• Assisting in maintaining patient care standards by supervising and directing activities of subordinate nurses engaged in quality assurance, infection control and utilization review activities
• Developing and interpreting operational policies, procedures and standards of care in accordance with overall hospital and accreditation committee policies
• Formulates and reviews nursing plans of care for all clients and ensures that treatment and therapies specified in the plans are carried out
• Trains CMAs
• Performs all nursing duties required of professional nurses and serves as a role model to lower level professional nurses and paraprofessionals

Qualifications:

Possession of a valid Louisiana license or temporary permit to practice professional nursing plus four years of professional nursing experience.
