At Arc of Acadiana, We believe that our veterans deserve to live, socialize, recreate and work in the least restrictive environment possible. To do this, we create custom supported living programs based on each participant’s capabilities and goals, providing them with the support system they need to feel safe and be successful.
The Arc of Acadiana currently provides a wide range of services to individuals with disabilities and are prepared to meet whatever degree of in-home care is needed to support veterans whether they live independently or with family.
Arc of Acadiana’s Veterans In-Home Care Program offers services for veterans who have become disabled as a result of the natural aging process, illness or injury. Services are provided in the participant’s home or in the family’s home if the participant is living with family. These services include:

Ultimately, our in-home personal care programs provide veterans with vital living support and the ability to maintain independence. In these programs, we encourage our participants to pursue individual interests and become involved in a variety of social and recreational opportunities in order to promote fellowship, friendship and connection.
